• What is your relationship with FundWell?:Teach online proposal writing course; involved with FundWell from the inception, chief scriptwriter for the Online Certificate in Fund Raising
• How long have you been teaching this course? Since 2001.
• What is your teaching philosophy?As an instructor, I am dedicated to guiding students and helping them write the strongest proposal that they can. I view my position as a facilitator, an editor, and an advisor. Students learn far more by diving in and wrestling with the material, than by passively sitting and listening to lectures. My role is to encourage students to continually improve their work. I feel it is the act of doing, and re-doing, and perhaps re-doing again – the constant struggle to complete the task and improve upon the work – that proves to have the strongest impact on a student’s learning.
