Introduces our students to the historical background of fundraising and basic fundraising concepts. In addition, students learn sources of funds, the importance of mission, what motivates donors, constituency development, critical issues in Philanthropy and the answer to “Why Plan”?
In this course students write and evaluate mission statements and evaluate the case statements of individual organizations.
Each student is required to take the prologue (introduction) when they begin their first course. The introduction is required only once.
