FundWell.com provides professional content and experienced faculty. Our courses are offered for graduate credit through accredited, degree granting institutions. Our world-class and widely-respected faculty all have Masters' degrees, some with PhDs. Each faculty member has contributed to the field and brings real-world experience to the table.
Our faculty members are constantly finding new information to present to students in a variety of media including audio, video and interactive online discussions. The courses require students to critically analyze information and work through the issues that nonprofits face. Students are expected to participate in all aspects of the course, including experiential learning, online discussions and the presentation portions of the course. We are constantly improving not only our course content, but the user experience.
We take pride in the fact that we provide both graduate credit and CFRE continuing education points; we work hard to make sure that our curriculum is the most comprehensive available.

The courses are taught asynchroniously. You study on your own schedule, wherever you have web access. All textbook materials are available on the website.
FundWell.com History
FundWell.com was started in 1997 by Elizabeth Dorsey, a seasoned fundraising professional and educator. FundWell.com’s Online Certificate in Fundraising Program was developed over the course of two years, pulling together the accumulated knowledge of dozens of fundraising professionals and instructional designers. FundWell.com joined forces with Columbia College Chicago in 2000, when Columbia’s Arts, Entertainment & Media Management Department began offering FundWell classes to its students. Since then, FundWell.com has taught fundraising skills to almost 1,000 Columbia College Chicago students. In 2007, FundWell.com received approved continuing education provider status from CFRE International, the organization that grants certification. This is the only internationally recognized baseline professional credential for philanthropic fundraising executives.
Through the years, the course has evolved to keep up with current technology and trends in the field. FundWell.com is a constant work-in-progress, as content and delivery methods are updated and revised to respond to student feedback, peer review, and advancements in the industry.
